Complete with Hawaiian phrasebook, maps, detailed history, customs and culture, laws, and all the travel stuff (hotels, camping, beaches, restaurants, shopping, things to do, and more). Very Useful!

There are many travel suggestions and tips which can be used to make a vacation or business trip a better experience.  Here are a few travel tips which you may find helpful.

Attempt to book when others are not traveling, sometimes the first or last flight of the day Be flexible, arriving at your destination a day or two earlier, or departing a day or two later to help avoid peak periods Select points of interest you wish to visit before leaving home.  Early reservations or savings may be available, rather than at the door. Be realistic and not try to do to much in a limited amount of time Scan important documents (passport, drivers license, credit cards, tickets etc) ahead of time and store in a protected e-mail you can access, or leave it with trusted friends or family members.  You never know what situation may require you to have access to this critical information Check your insurance prior to leaving home and know what medical services your health insurance covers. You may wish to purchase special travel insurance for your trip Remember to place a hold on mail or temporary stop your newspaper. You can generally do this on-line. Leave a contact number in your luggage in the event it is separated or lost. Split up valuables in case of loss or theft Carry-on special medications, prescriptions or overnight items.  You’ll be prepared in case of a potential change in plans or if you are temporally separated from your luggage. Check in ahead of time, usually 24 hours and can be done on-line Don’t over pack.  Allow room for items you wish to bring home Bring multi purpose clothing, or items which can be coordinated to save room Rolling clothes seems to save room, rather than folding. Rolling in tissue may help with less wrinkles A carry-on may be helpful to hold extra clothes Be careful not to pre-wrap gifts you may be bringing.  Remember, any item may be opened by security. Arrive early when checking in at the airport.  This can any stress or anxiety when traveling Use the hotel concierge service when available.  They know the areas and may have great recommendations for you.  Get to know them and let them know your food preferences or sighting seeing interests for the best suggestions.  And be sure to allow them enough time to fulfill your request. Ask the hotel for any discount coupons.  Many times, selected restaurants or tours provide these in advance.
