The VStar 950 features an air-cooled, 942cc, 60-degree V-Twin that "delivers distinctive, big-cruiser character and pulsing torque feel." The suspension was developed to conquer the twisty back roads without sacrificing commuter comfort. And the seat is ultra-low for additional comfort, coming in at 26.6 inches.
With this powerful motor and comfort arrives great fuel mileage; the V Star 950 gets an estimated 47 mpg out of it's 4.5-gallon gas tank.
The V Star is available in standard or the Tourer model, which includes a windshield, leather-wrapped hard sidebags and a passenger backrest.
The 2012 V Star 950 comes in Liquid Silver or Candy Red with an MSRP of $8,490. The V Star 950 Tourer comes in Raven or Impact Blue with an MSRP of $9,490. Both will be available at Star Motorcycles dealerships nationwide beginning in July.
