4x4 Shuttle Bus

Truck and tractor pull Friday night

The Albion and Bolton Agricultural Society will be holding their 33rd Truck and Tractor Pull this Friday (June 24) night.

It will be at the Bolton Fairgrounds, starting at 6 p.m.

The competition will start with the 5,500-pound Hot Stock 4x4 Trucks.

Following that will be the 8,000-pound Modified Farm Tractors, the 8,000-pound ProStreet Diesel 4x4 Trucks, the 8,000-pound Light ProStock Tractors, the 2,200- pound Mini Modified Tractors, the 8,000-pound Pro Modified Diesel 4x4 Trucks, the 5,800-pound Modified tractors, the 6,000-pound Superstock 4x4 Trucks, the 11,500-pound Modified Farm Tractors, the 6,200-pound Super Modified 4WD Trucks, the 10,000-pound Heavy Prostock Tractors, the ProHighway Tractors, Highway Tractors, and featuring the 6,200-pound 2WD Modified Trucks and the ever popular Multi-Engine Tractors.

For the kids, there will be free temporary tattoos, pony rides, a jump castle and three midway rides. The kids can also enter a free draw for their chance to win a mountain bike (age eight to 12) or a pedal tractor (age seven and younger).

For the adults, there will be a Bavarian garden and dealer displays.

Once again, there will be a free shuttle bus service this year. The bus service will run from 5 p.m. to midnight from the Caledon Centre for Recreation and Wellness back lot, along the Highway 50 corridor to the Holy Family Church parking lot.

Dogs, bicycles and skateboards are not allowed on the grounds.

Coroner's Inquest: Survival Guide to Feasterville

Transportation: One of the beauties of Feasterville is that the shuttle bus transports you between your hotel and the Sportsplex, and runs every 20 minutes. So for a flat rate of twenty bucks, you can have unlimited transportation to and from your hotel all weekend (provided that you stay at one of the host hotels). A word of caution from an experienced Feastervillian – follow all of the posted bus rules! Food & Drink: There is a huge pool on the grounds, and there is a pool party that goes on everyday from noon until 8:00 PM. The beer is good and cheap, and the barbecue is great! I take all of my meals at the pool party for the entire weekend. No need to go anywhere else. There is even a bake sale there where you can buy delicious homemade baked goods (and fresh apples for only fifty cents!
